RED Friday

Alright, I'll admit it. Cody is not deployed. Which means I don't technically have any real reason to participate in RED Friday's, right? Wrong! Participating in RED Friday's is more than just supporting my boy; it's supporting all of the men and women who are fighting for our country. It's giving our love, thoughts, and prayers to people who can't talk to their families on a regular basis, let alone see them. All of these people deserve our support, whether we know them personally or not. Right now it is not my heart or home being affected by deployments, but I know some day it will be and when that day comes I hope for people that choose to support the boy and everybody else.

So I wear red to Remember Everybody Deployed.

At least in my hair
I also recently put this in my hair...

Cody thinks it is absolutely ridiculous, but I love it. It cracks me up. Opinions?!

Ridiculous. A lot of people seem to think it describes me pretty perfectly. Most of those people mean well and I completely agree with them. I tend to be a little ridiculous. Even my relationship is ridiculous, but that is not something I let other people tell me, especially because those people aren't generally well-meaning. Yes my relationship is ridiculous. We tickle each other until somebody gets an accidental kick to the gut. We watch the worst movies ever produced. And we love each other, pure and simple.

But no, we are not too young to understand what love is. No, we did not jump into this without realizing what it meant. And we are definitely not doomed to failure by our age or situation. We realize that we aren't guaranteed a happily ever after, but we also understand that our actions affect our future. We know that a lot of work goes in to relationships when both parties are in the same village, but we also know the strength and determination it takes to make a relationship work 783 miles apart. I may not see his face every day and I may not kiss him goodnight on a daily basis, but I know a love that only The Few, The Proud, The Sig O's know and in the end, it is always worth it.
